Inside DwellStudio's Home Decor Haven on Wooster Street

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Last week, DwellStudio opened up its first stand-alone store in Soho at 77 Wooster Street. If home decor is your thing, then you might want to consider stopping by immediately: The boutique carries modern furniture, bedding, rugs, artwork, and tabletop accessories, in addition to collections for baby and kids.

The brand launched back in 1999, which means that its first flagship store is over ten years in the making. Naturally, they weren't going to skimp on the details. In addition to shopping the collections, you'll also be able to check out an exclusive array of vintage furnishings and accessories, handpicked by the brand's founder and creative director, Christiane Lemieux. The Soho store will also include a custom furniture design station, where you can set up a consultation with one of their design experts—in case matching lamps to couches isn't exactly your forte.
