Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Here's yet another reason to stayed glued to your phone, constantly. Snapette, a location-based shopping application, just underwent an upgrade that now lets users stay connected to their favorite stores in a borderline-obsessive kind of way. With the new version of the app, shoppers are able to view new products, in-store events, and even exclusive deals from participating stores that include Sigerson Morrison, Thistle & Clover, Steven Alan, Jean-Michel Cazabat, and plenty more.
On top of all that, merchandise can be purchased through a brand's e-commerce page by clicking on a "Buy Now" button. And since it doesn't exist unless it happens on several social media platforms, users can share their snaps on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, and Tumblr. Head here for a full list of stores.
