Mayor Bloomberg and Rachel Shechtman, founder of the concept shop Story, have teamed up to host a pop-up shop competition for emerging local fashion retailers and tech companies. Business of Fashion writes that the competition is a part of Bloomberg's Fashion NYC 2020 initiative, and that the winners will get a temporary space inside Story, a "tool kit of business services valued at $25,000" and industry exposure.
Here's how the winner breakdown will look: Those allotted space inside Story will be composed of up to three fashion retailers and eight fashion tech companies. And of course, once they're there, 100% of the profits go directly to their pockets. Judges will include Norma Kamali, Brandon Holley of Lucky magazine, Bonobos' Andy Dunn, and more.
