To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around our fantastic city that we might not all know about. She's planned weddings for celebrities, organized store openings for LA fashion designers, and been featured on Good Morning America, CNN, The Today Show, Rachael Ray, The Nate Berkus Show, and Ellen Degeneres. And now this Beverly Hills-based consultant is about to embark on the opening of her NYC office. So, where's she going to go to make sure her new space is filled with chic containers, vibrant pens, and an assortment of desktop accessories? New York Central Art Supply in the East Village, of course.

My favorite NY gem is New York Central Art Supply in the East Village. I especially love the upstairs section of fine papers from around the world. I could spend hours going through all the treasures in the store. It was the first place I went to stock up on supplies for my new branch in New York. I love the journals, the colored pencils and pastels for my new work space. Spend a little time in there and you are surely to walk out with your hands full of every office supply option under the sun?.and more.
