Oak Is Relocating Its Williamsburg Shop to Nassau Avenue

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Oak's Williamsburg store has resided on N. 8th Street for five years, but they've just let us know that when the lease expires, they'll be relocating to 55 Nassau Avenue. Oak describes the new location, which sits on the edge of McCarren Park on the border of Williamsburg and Greenpoint, as "a quadrant full of life, culture and this precious young energy." So, they seem pretty excited about the move.

There's no date confirmed yet, but the new store will open sometime within the next few weeks. Though the N. 8th location is slightly more convenient subway-wise, taking a stroll along the park to shop things like this tank top and candles that smell like the McKibbin Lofts is A.OK with us.
