According to the Commercial Observer, Barneys New York is expanding its Madison Avenue flagship. The store currently takes up nine out of the 23 floors of 660 Madison Avenue, but the new deal would add a chunk of the tenth floor as well. What this means for shoppers:
Barneys won't actually bring retail space onto the 10th floor but relocate offices it currently has on its condo floors below, a move that will allow it to increase its selling space at the location.In other words: more fashion for everybody.
