New York City has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around our fantastic city that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Molly Schaul spends her days as the Director of Wedding Design at J.Crew, overseeing the brand's wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, party outfits, and wedding-appropriate accessories. So with Wedding Week in full force, we had her shed some light on her favorite Brooklyn spot.
I love to venture out to Williamsburg to Sprout Home off the L train on the Bedford Stop. Living in the city, there is nothing more therapeutic then getting your hands dirty and growing something. As soon as you walk into Sprout, the scent of earthy goodness hits you. The space is raw and bare with exposed brick walls and is filled with greenery, minimal floral arrangements, lush indoor plants, and eclectic home knick-knacks. In the back there is an outdoor lot filled with an amazing assortment of larger containers and outdoor plants.
As an urban gardener, it is so hard to find solutions for small spaces and Sprout has every solution that will fit your needs. (I'm loving all of the vertical wall containers). And for many people in NYC who do not have outdoor spaces, you can buy the most precious terrariums filled with miniature ferns and succulents. They'll even teach you how to make your own!
