Twice a year, Steven Alan converts his Tribeca showroom into a two-level wonderland of bargains. The quality of the sale varies, but even in off years, it's easy to come away with at least one or two little dresses or rumpled button-downs priced well below wholesale. You just have to be willing to brave the crowds.
This time around, though, crowds won't be an issue, because the sale has moved online. Starting June 19th and running through June 22nd, the company's website will be taking up to 70% off Alan's classic Americana as well as pieces from the up-and-coming designers he stocks (brands like Wool and the Gang, 8.15, and Isaora.) Sale prices will only apply online, and all purchases will be final—sort of like at the flesh-and-blood sample sale, although you won't be able to try anything on.
