Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Last year, Gilt Groupe hosted a warehouse sale that also included blowouts, brow shapings, and cocktails. This year, they've decided to do it again. Expect the same party favors, like 80% off exclusive Gilt merchandise, makeup by Benefit, hair-styling by Pipino salon, and shoes shines and male manicures by Spiff. As a bonus, this year's sale will include menswear from their handsome-brother site, Park & Bond.
Tickets are currently on sale on the Gilt City website—yes, you do have to pay to enter, and you do have to select a time-slot to shop. The sale kicks off on Friday, May 18, but the late-night 10pm to 12am time slot is already sold out, as is Saturday morning's early entrance. For $15, though, you can get in there mid-morning on Saturday, and for $10, you can take the afternoon shift. If you're not opposed to paying an entrance fee (Brokelyn compares doing to so getting a Costco membership card), you might want to hurry up: The tickets are only on sale for two more days.
