CROWN HEIGHTS—Now open on Classon Avenue between St. Marks Avenue and Bergen Street is Lady J +1, a shop that only sells clothing and accessories from Brooklyn designers. LOS ANGELES—Hair legend Vidal Sassoon passed away today at the age of 84. The Times recalls his love for his job with this quote from a 2004 interview with the Chicago Tribune: "Hairdressers are a wonderful breed. You work one-on-one with another human being and the object is to make them feel so much better and to look at themselves with a twinkle in their eye." [NYT]
