Although the gift shop at the end of the Met's Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations exhibit is small, we did find a few fun treasures when we stopped by. Like, Prada shoes. They're very ornate—like Christmas ornaments—and in fact, they are Christmas ornaments. And at only $30 each, this might be a good time to stock up early for holiday gifts, even if you're Jewish.
We also got a kick out of Prada's childlike banana, lobster, and flame earrings. But unlike most child's play-jewelry, these are going for $230 a pair. At the more sophisticated end of the spectrum are Prada's matching bag and cosmetic case sets for $325 and silk scarves for $420. If you'd prefer to bring home some Schiaparelli or Prada garments, then you'll want to buy the exhibit's beautiful hardback catalog for $45, or, a few postcards for just $1.50 each.
