Unless you're looking for denim, Acne's moving sale is probably not worth your time. The entire sale exists in one picked-over room. We thought maybe the rest of the merchandise was downstairs, but we thought wrong. "Stuff just flew out of here," said one of the store's managers. "The sale was a lot larger than we anticipated," she added. Unfortunately, nothing will be restocked even though the sale is supposed to last until Tuesday.
That said, there's still quite a bit of denim left in both men's and women's. Denim runs from $60 to $90 depending on the style. We also found a selection of men's outwear, like a bright red ski jacket for $258 and a dark navy full length toggle coat for $285, originally $950. A few evening dresses, like a black and creme polka dot dress (originally $950, now $285) still hang on the racks. And there's a surplus of Acne's limited-edition Fashion's Night Out tee, only $38 down from $125. A small number of striped skirts for $144, originally $480 are also left for sale.
There are literally about five styles of shoes to choose from, including a pair of cranberry-colored lace-up boots for $240, originally $800, and a nice chestnut colored pair of dress boots for $231. There is one rack of kids' clothing; the selection is tiny but absolutely adorable.
If you're still planning to go, keep in mind that there are no dressing rooms and the unisex setting makes for an awkward changing scenario. The sale runs from 11am-7pm daily until Tuesday June 5th at 10 Greene Street, the storefront Acne will be leaving shortly for a bigger new home.
