The headline for this week's Critical Shopper warns, "Want Comfy and Cheap? Try Foot Locker, Not Nicholas Kirkwood." The boutique's bare walls and gallery-like appearance prompts Alexandra Jacobs to write, "One half-expects stiffened cheese cubes and warm Chablis to be passed while you're inspecting the wares, which are mostly atop treelike pedestals." Those wares include a pair of $2,295 blue wedges covered in glass and "some with a little wavy indentation near the bottom, as if to suggest the imminent stumble ever threatened by the Meatpacking District's cobblestone streets."
