While our intrepid sale reporter is heading home to write up a full report, let's discuss the basic details of the Manolo Blahnik sample sale. If you went last time, you'll recognize a lot of the merchandise. Sizing is best for those who wear 36 and under or 40 and over, which is unfortunate for those with average-sized feet.
Expect to hunt. The morning crowd shopped hard, and now the selection is a bit of a mess. As for pricing, it depends what you're looking for—and what you're able to find. Plain shoes are just $100, but prices go up to $350 for alligator heels and higher for boots, which max out at $500. The price list reads like feeding time at the zoo: alligator, python, lizard, pony, eel, stingray. And judging from the photo above, that's what the space looks like right now as well.
