EAST VILLAGE—Here's a little bit of bad news, accompanied by a little bit of good news. We've just gotten word that The New World Order in the East Village is closing, and that they're currently selling their inventory for cheap. If you have yet to stop by, now would be the time: The vintage shop carries brands like Balenciaga, Givenchy, Lanvin, Stella McCartney, and a whole lot more. [RackedWire]
HERALD SQUARE—Curious as to what else in the works for the Macy's Herald Square renovation? The Broadway side of the second floor is currently closed, and Grub Street reports that a "stealth" Starbucks is setting up shop. What that means is that it'll be non-branded, there will be beer and wine, and the baristas get to wear whatever they want. So, you'll probably have little reason to go to the other four branded Starbucks already in Macy's. [Grub Street]
