Legal Toe Woes

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

And now, an explanation for this summer's biggest bummer: Why neon nail polish is illegal to manufacture in the U.S. Our sister site reports: "It's not that neon nail polish is illegal, it's just not legal."
