At yesterday's press preview, the Loeffler Randall sample sale was packed—not a surprise, as the shoe line is an editors' favorite. It should be equally crowded today, especially since the space is small, but the prices are well worth dealing with the lack of space and potentially long line. Each pair of shoes is stored in a plastic bag on a hanger, so you can end up with an arm-full fairly quickly. Luckily, there's a coat and bag check so that you can focus on the shoes.
Now for the prices: Sandals go for $85, while clogs go for $125. There's a wide range of heels, all in the $200 range. We liked a pair of red embellished pumps for $150, studded flats for $150, gold clogs for $125, leopard print pumps for $225, and black, nude, and pink platforms for $150. (Check the slideshow for more shoes.)
Racks are organized by size, but the layout is still a little confusing. That said, there are plenty of employees ready to help you find the right fit and even pull some shoes that aren't out on the floor. Staffers will be be restocking throughout the sale, but we're told that prices won't drop. The sale runs 10am to 7pm today and tomorrow at 10am to 5pm on Broadway between Broome and Spring Streets.—Jamie Cooper
