Though Daphne Guinness needs no introduction herself, the reason why she got onstage to perform Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" at Arlene's Grocery this past weekend probably does. According to The Cut, the band Element 4 wanted Guinness to sign the song with them, so they called her and she said something along the lines of "sure." She also tweeted about it a lot, where she explained: "It was VERY impromptu, sang 4 songs, Never did that before. Life is full of surprises x."

Speaking of surprises, the keyboardist looks a little distracted, no?
