SOHO—On Thursday from 6pm to 9pm, Porter Grey will host a pop-up shop at the recently-opened American Two Shot store on Grand Street. Exclusive pieces from the spring 2012 collection will be available, and as a bonus, all purchases come with a free custom-designed Porter Grey T-shirt. [RackedWire]
EVERYWHERE—At last, Bloomingdale's has made shopping on your lunch break even easier with its new Big Brown Bag app. In addition to a mobile shop, there's also a store locator built in, an events tab, and even a way to manage your wedding registry, if you've happen to have one of those. Best of all, though, is the in-store bar code scanner that allows you to view product details and read customer reviews. Because a "dry clean only" label is helpful and all, but we'd be a lot more apt to follow a "don't even think about throwing this in the wash" instruction from someone who actually owns it.
