The Christian Louboutin Sale's Decoy Sign Has Returned

Just like last year, the Louboutin sale is in denial. A sign posted on the front of 306 W. 38th Street reads "Please note there is no Christian Louboutin sale happening at this time." But when we took about four steps into the building, a woman with a clipboard asked us if we here for the sale. So much for the sign.

Our clipboard-wielding friend told us that the sale is appointment-only, and you need to know someone who works in the Louboutin corporate offices in order to make an appointment. That's not exactly how things have worked in the past, but the point remains: If you're not on the list, you won't get in. If you're one of the lucky few who are connected, congrats: Every woman in New York is officially jealous.—Jamie Cooper
