Salvatore Ferragamo's flagship on Fifth Avenue has been shuttered since January for renovations, but today the Italian luxury brand makes a glorious spring awakening. Highlights of the makeover include a new space for fine jewelry, which Ferragamo launched this past fall. There's also a room dedicated to Ferragamo's history, with photos of the designer hanging out with Marilyn Monroe. There, the brand will show off limited-edition collections based on its archives.
The Fifth Avenue store is Ferragamo's biggest, and it's a standard-bearer for the rest of the empire. President Vincent Ottomanelli tells WWD that it will be used as inspiration for future renovations.
