Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Last week, we learned that Sandro and Maje would be opening up side-by-side storefronts on Prince Street, just like their neighboring locations already in existence on Bleecker Street. Over the weekend, Bowery Boogie spotted the signage, and as they put it, "The French sisters behind the boutiques have just switched on the hype machine."
The vinyl window coverings display the brand's campaigns, as well as a vague "Spring 2012" opening date. Sandro's website is also just as ambiguous about the date, as is Maje's. In other news, both brands have new T-shirts for you to get excited about while you wait for the new store. Sandro has just launched a pricey collection of The Doors-inspired tees, and Maje's Brigitte Bardot collection is coming soon.
