Rag & Bone's first Madison Avenue store will open in a Federal-style former bank at 73rd Street, according to the Wall Street Journal. The brand has signed a lease for all 9,000 square feet of the three-story building at 909 Madison, which used to house the Bank of New York and was most recently occupied by a Chase. (There's still a heavy-duty safe in the basement, apparently.)
The denim-heavy, casual-luxe label took its time getting to Madison Avenue, even debuting an Upper West Side shop before venturing east. Given that it's now opening in a dramatic space just up the block from stores like Bond No.9 and Ralph Lauren, it seems like the waiting paid off.
