For this week's Critical Shopper, Alexandra Jacobs took a tour of the recently-opened Haute Hippie on Prince Street. She admits boho isn't really her thing, but did manage to find a few things she liked. "I also admired a polka-dot bell-sleeve blouse in black with nude dots ($275), a photographic negative of the one that, unbuttoned, drew appreciative oohs during the season opener of 'Mad Men.' Less felicitous: a bronze flapper frock that molted a piece of fringe to the ground as I zipped it up. Ms. Pound has cited 'The Great Gatsby' as inspiration, but this was more Nicole Diver coming undone than frisky Daisy Buchanan." [NYT]
