New York City has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around our fantastic city that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Designer Diego Binetti's eponymous women's label is sophisticated, feminine, and studded with elaborate detail. He's recently launched a secondary line called LOVE by Diego Binetti in an attempt to reach a broader audience. His favorite shopping destination? David Weeks Lighting, a Brooklyn spot known for its annual sample sale.
I met David Weeks by accident as I was accompanying a colleague to the annual sale at the David Weeks Studio. I was so mesmerized by all of the hanging mobile-like fixtures that I decided on the spot that I also needed one for my atelier. We ended up walking out with four incredible fixtures of varying sizes and designs and now I am the proud owner of one in my showroom and another in my home. Also, his annual sample sale is a must-go! Seriously! His lighting is so amazing and once a year he clears it all out at amazing prices. With people lined up around the block to get in, and a limit to 20 people in the studio at a time, the supply barely meets the demand.· David Weeks Studio [Official Site]
