Salute the newest menswear line to hit Williamsburg: Cadet. The brand, which is produced in its own factory in Bushwick, officially opened its shop to the public in the former Built by Wendy space on North 6th Street.

Inside, the vibe is Civil War general office meets hip boutique. Air Force caps, stately portraits, and old school globes are strategically placed around the store to compliment the brand's military-academy aesthetic. The clothes are casual, rugged, and pretty affordable given that they're made locally. The Officers Shirt, a basic button-down, goes for $128, the Slim Utility Pant is $168, and a relaxed tee goes for $44.

Cadet is also prepared for the unseasonable weather with a variety of swim trunk styles for $108. It doesn't stop there: Guys heading out for a day in Prospect Park or at Rockaway Beach can throw all of their summer essentials in one of the brand's rich leather, canvas, and hardware bags.—Anne Ebani
