Monika Chiang's first New York store is now open in Soho at 125 Wooster Street, which is just a quick walk from boyfriend Chris Burch's C. Wonder shop on Spring. WWD reports that the store was decorated by Mary McDonald of Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators, and comes equipped with velvet couches and brass fixtures—much like the first store she opened in L.A. in October.
The store stocks Chiang's whole shebang: ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, and jewelry. If you're unfamiliar with the new line, WWD notes that it includes "lots of leather," like this mini skirt and these leggings. And Chiang doesn't have plans to stop in Soho: She explains that part of her "short term strategy" is to open up more New York stores, either in Meatpacking or uptown, as well as in Atlanta and Miami.
