Glow-in-the-Dark Flats and More at Creatures of Comfort

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Welcome to Shops Illustrated, a new Racked feature in which artist Jennifer Hoyden sketches New York City stores. For each entry, she'll draw a street view, an interior look, and some items currently hanging on the racks.

Nolita's Creatures of Comfort is a triple threat: great space, great service, and great outstanding taste. It has bragging rights to extremely hard-to-find labels that are well worth the hunt, like Arts & Science, Margaret Howell, and Tsumori Chisato; New York staples like Isabel Marant and Acne; truly friendly staff; a huge open airy store; and...every single thing you need.

Seriously, they sell everything from clothes to shoes to underwear to socks to Italian umbrellas to jewelry to bags to books to Japanese kitchenware. Why are you still reading this instead of heading over?
