After two years of preparation, the Picture Collection of the New York Public Library and the Special Collections & FIT Archives of the Fashion Institute of Technology Library have digitally launched 5,000 drawings from André Fashion Studios. Beginning in the '30s, André Fashion Studios sold drawings to manufacturers throughout the U.S. and Canada through their firm in the Garment District. Now, those drawings are conveniently available to view for free right here. [NYT]
