The opening date of the new mega Zara flagship in Midtown is just around the corner: The store is set to debut on March 15th, and Mizhattan reports that things seem to be right on schedule. The scaffolding is now gone, and workers are busy tending to all of the final details inside.
The store is located at 666 Fifth Avenue, which also happens to be the same address as Uniqlo's gigantic flagship. To refresh, Zara actually bought out the space from the NBA store last year for about $324 million big ones, and is only relocating a few blocks. (The former Zara was just a hop, skip, and a jump away on Fifth Avenue between 54th and 55th Streets.) Meanwhile, the NBA store has found a temporary home a few blocks south, and Massimo Dutti, which is owned by Zara's parent company Inditex, is posed to take over Zara's old space soon.
