Two years ago, Zimmermann opened up a pop-up shop on Prince Street, and it appears that the test run went well, since the Aussie line has officially decided on a location for its first Manhattan store. The brand's shop at 87 Mercer Street in Soho is scheduled to open by the end of this month, and it will stock the complete ready-to-wear and swim collections that are currently only available at the brand's LA store.
Zimmerman's first U.S. store opened up last year on Robertson Boulevard, but the company had originally planned on opening one up in New York first. (Things ended up working out backwards, as you can see.) But perhaps the wait was worth it: Following the debut of the NY boutique, Zimmermann plans to beef up its e-commerce by launching a dedicated U.S. online store. See that? That's good things, coming in twos.
