Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Pamela Love normally looks to foreign countries for design inspiration, but for her Art Deco fall 2012 collection, she took a cue from New York City. In a video for trunk show site Moda Operandi, she explain that she was influenced by local architectural details, including the elevator in her own building. Like what you see? There's more on Fashionologie, and Moda Operandi will let you pre-order the pieces today.
