This week, Alexandra Jacobs heads to the new Zara flagship on Fifth Avenue, and says: "As expected, echoes from the spring 2012 runways are everywhere here." Though displeased with the "tributes" (like an "Alexander Wangish motorcycle jacket" and a "Pierre Hardyesque contrast clutch"), she does wait in line with her friend for ten minutes for a fitting room. Though she does end up finding a non-knockoff tote she likes, she's far too "strassed" out to wait in the checkout line to buy it. [NYT]
