Today, in Lower East Side newcomers: The Hoodie Shop has officially opened its doors at 181 Orchard Street. Bowery Boogie reports that the shop stocks contemporary clothing—including leather jackets, blazers, and cashmere—as well as vintage concert apparel. Appropriately, the store's founders, Aleah Speranza and Brooklyn Bowl's Peter Shapiro, were inspired to open the store at an LCD Soundsystem concert last year.
Based off the above photo from The Hoodie Shop's website, the interior of the store includes bright green chairs and floor-to-ceiling psychedelic wallpaper. Daily Candy adds that there's also a DJ booth and a projection screen that will loop footage from concerts in the '60s and '70s. And best of all, there appears to be some sort of bar.
