Miss Cooper the bunny is back at the Alexander Berardi boutique in Soho after last week's kidnapping. Thomas Smith, a 62-year-old homeless man, admitted to stealing her because he "wanted something to love," according to the Daily News.

Smith and alleged accomplice Andrea Ruggieri put on cowboy hats and nabbed the bunny from the shop on Wednesday while brand co-founder Chris Kulukundis was distracted by a customer. After one of Smith's soup-kitchen friends convinced him to give the rabbit back, he dropped her off at the 1st Precinct station around midnight on Saturday. Along with Ruggieri, Smith was charged with charged with petty larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. Says his lawyer: “He’s an animal lover, not a hater.”
