H&M Fifth Avenue Is Still Haunted by the Ghost of Marni

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Gone, kaput, that's it: The women's Marni for H&M merchandise is completely sold out at the 620 Fifth Avenue location. It's hard to believe it ever even existed, let alone debuted less than a week ago, as not even a single tank top remains. Pro-active types who can spot a Marni from a mile away do have some hope, though; we're told returns are arriving sporadically.

Upstairs, the spirit is still alive in the men's department. Two racks are still stocked with blue and gray striped sweaters for $99, pinstriped shorts for $59.50, and matching blazers for $99. Jackets ranging in price from $79.95 to $149 and button downs for $49.95 are also still available. Which means it's fair to say this: Marni for H&M is not completely dead.—Anne Ebani
