There are plenty of reasons to get excited about Fashion Star, the reality show launching tonight on NBC. It's the first fashion reality show ever to air on a major, non-cable network. It's brought to you by the producers behind the original, Bravo-era Project Runway. It involves designers creating clothing that will actually be sold in stores—namely Saks, Macy's, and H&M. And it's finally inspired H&M to launch e-commerce. The only thing they'll be stocking online is the Fashion Star label, but once they've got online shopping in place, surely the rest of their merchandise will follow, right? [Racked National]
