Fashion Week is not for the claustrophobic. Guests at runway shows routinely put on their least practical shoes and squeeze themselves into packed spaces designed with limited attention to fire safety. Usually everyone escapes unscathed, except for the occasional jab to the midsection or ego. But every so often something goes wrong—like last night, when audience members at the Red Dress show got stuck in a malfunctioning elevator inside the Hammerstein Ballroom.
As bad as the photo above might look, blogger Glendy of Styleamor seems to have made it out just fine. "Getting stuck and being pulled out of an elevator during #NYFW: Priceless!" she Tweeted about half an hour ago. And she hardly sounds shaken in her post about the show. For more on the runway show, which starred everyone from Minka Kelly to Chaka Khan, check out Racked National's coverage.
