The Fashion Week Tents Are Back at Lincoln Center

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Get your best black leather boots from their dustbags and take the magic eraser to your neon accessories tout de suite because the Mercedes-Benz dealership Fashion Week tents are completely constructed and nearly all set to welcome the WWD-clutching hordes of showgoers.

Snooping around Lincoln Center Plaza earlier today, we noted that not only does the facade look the same as last season, but the area is so eerily quiet. The only obvious change is a bit of a better backstage entrance all the way over on 10th Avenue and 62nd Street.

Starting at 9am on Thursday with the Nicholas K show, the plaza will sport only the extras that make it such a hive of activity for the week: a line of town cars expelling editors, a roving assortment of street style photographers and their over-accessorized quarry, and?sweetest of all?people handing out free Pepsi.
