Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

MEATPACKING DISTRICT—Next week, beauty and accessories line Savage Senses pops up on Eighth Avenue just south of 4th Street. Stop by from noon to 7pm between February 15th and February 29th to shop artisanal soaps, citron-scented candles, hand-dipped linen scarves, and more. Ten percent of proceeds go to environmental and social causes. [Racked Inbox]

THE INTERNET—New deal at the Lower East Side's Gargyle: If you use the code FEBEXTRA15 when you shop online, you can get another 15% off any two sale items. Since the sale has already hit around 60% off for most pieces, that's a nice little bonus. [The Choosy Beggar]
