Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
This weekend includes one major shopping event for women—the launch of Jason Wu's Target collection—and a few potentially excellent sample sales for both sexes (Stuart & Wright, In God We Trust.) But what about New York's menswear connoisseurs? What are they supposed to do, sit around in sweatpants watching football?
Not hardly. Tomorrow is the in-store start of Seize sur Vingt's bi-annual sample sale, which lasts through February 12th and features the five shirts above, among other things. While the sale does carry some women's clothing, the focus is really on men. Prices on jackets will drop to $150-$400 (from up to $2,500.) Suits, which can normally run up to $3,500, will run $200-$800. Pants that were once $190 will now be $80. And polos will go as low as $30, meaning you can look like the best pulled-together guy at the Super Bowl party for less than an extra-large order of hot wings. The sale also runs online through midnight tonight. Head here for more details, or this way for a look at last season's sale.
