Today is the day for the potential Whole Foods in Gowanus. The Times reports that a city panel is set to vote on whether to approve a special permit for the food store that would allow it to be five times larger than what the current zoning rules allow. Whole Foods bought the space at Third Street and Third Avenue eight years ago, but despite already having a ribbon cutting ceremony, they have yet to produce an actual store.
