Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Classic Williamsburg bazaar Artists & Fleas is coming back to the Chelsea Market starting next week. The flea will return the newly-converted 10th-Avenue–adjacent loading dock space where they held their holiday pop-up back in December. But this time around, they'll be supplementing the usual buying opportunities with public events and workshops.
Shoppers can learn how to up-cycle and style vintage clothing with thrift mavens Gypsy Nation and the Greedy Seagull, get New York photography tips from lensman Bryan Close, and study the art of reliquary-making with jeweler Becca Stern of Stern Design Works. And did we mention the free DJ lessons? It all starts next Thursday, March 1 and runs 10:30am to 7pm daily through June 3.
