New York City has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around our fantastic city that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Designer Jason Scarlatti considers himself the "happiest and coolest dude in the Garment District." He's the creative director for 2(X)IST, the men's underwear line that has captured the hearts and groins of men across the globe. A former designer for both Joseph Abboud and Tommy Hilfiger and a current resident of Chelsea (where his products are no doubt rampant), Jason's favorite menswear shop is Behaviour NYC.
My favorite men's clothing shop is Behaviour NYC—the window displays stop you in your tracks and they have an excellent offering of fashionable styles. I like pieces that have meaning and am always on the lookout for new items that aren't basic, those items that feel rare and special. The collections offered at Behavior are all very classic, but if you look closely, they tend to have special details and elements that make them very modern.
The shop carries a wide range of high-end designers and an assortment of product to dress you from head to toe. The environment inside is very welcoming and the staff always make you feel like you are shopping with a personal stylist. I recently bought a pair of dress pants that are made out of sweat pant fabric. They are the perfect combination of casual comfort and tailored suiting. I love the twist of classic menswear interpreted in comfortable fabrics.
