Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Diptyque's highly desirable candles are also highly expensive (think $60 for a standard size), so fans of the brand used to go a little crazy at their biannual sample sales. Since the summer of 2010, though, any sales they've held have gone entirely under the radar—until now. On Thursday, March 1st and Friday, March 2nd, Diptyque will be hosting a public sample sale at 11 E. 26th Street on the sixth floor.
Pricing may have changed in the past 18 months, but last time around, merchandise was 40% to 90% off, with regular candles going for $30. If you're one of the legion of Diptyque obsessives out there—or if you want to buy a year's worth of birthday presents at one go—then definitely line up early for this one.
