When the menswear version of cutting-edge tradeshow (capsule) came to New York last month, the event organizers staged a public pop-up called Donut Shop. Now it's time for the ladies to have their fun. The female version is called Oasis, and it's open through tomorrow at the entrance to the women's show at 550 Washington Street in far west Soho.
Billed as a "retail relaxation station," Oasis carries everything from terrariums by Twig to bespoke lemonade by Sips and Bites to vegan beauty by Meow Meow Tweet, which sounds like a Portlandia sketch but is actually a line of handmade apothecary products. There's also a showcase of the fall/winter 2012 clothing line by Keds. Stop by today until 7pm or any time tomorrow from 10am to 6pm.
