Last night, Glamour magazine made a new contribution to the west side: they opened up a special "apothecary wall" where passers-by can buy displayed beauty products simply by scanning a barcode on their smartphone.
Supermodel Petra Nemcova was on hand to cut the metaphorical ribbon alongside Glamour's publisher Bill Wackermann. The wall is cosponsored by CO Bigelow, who provided lots of goodies for the wall. Products include everything from Dove body wash to TRESemme shampoo. Since it's located across the street from the Standard, they'll probably get tons of visiting fashionistas stopping by to pick up some last-minute extras. The wall will be up and active through the 20th, although Glamour says they're "definitely open" to doing a similar project again if there's interest in the future.
