Turns out, the Forever 21 housed in the former flagship of posh Japanese department store Takashimaya was only temporary after all. We previously reported that the store's six month lease was looking towards an extension, but when we stopped by today, there was a bold, yellow "Store Closed" sign affixed to the door. While you can still visit their Soho, Union Square, Herald Square, and Times Square locations, this spot on the Upper East Side is no longer an option.
