Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Back in June, the Gap signed a lease for 400 Fulton Street, joining the parade of mainstream retailers planning to open in the downtown Brooklyn shopping strip. Now, signage reveals that the store will actually be New York City's only Gap outlet. No more driving to Woodbury for deals on t-shirts! According to the posters, the store will launch on February 24, a week from this Friday.
