M.A.C.'s new Fifth Avenue flagship may be on the tiny side, but that doesn't mean it skimped on any of the details. The new store opened late last week, and it currently employees 37 makeup artists—so finding a free one for a mid-afternoon touch up shouldn't be a problem.
If all goes according to plan, the atmosphere will be more "beauty oasis" than "fist-pumping Fifth Avenue." M.A.C.'s Senior VP and Creative Director, James Gager, explains: "We focused on creating a feeling of quiet and chic refinement through the interior architecture and decoration. The environment is purposefully light, telling a story of elegance rather than drama or theatre." If drama's what you're after, though, there's the Lash Bar, where you'll find over 40 styles of eyelashes.
